"We're continuing into the building then, but we'll take Screwball here with us, just to keep an eye on him."
Ulysses whole-heartedly agreed with the sentiment his employer had, and his eyes narrowed for emphasis when the detective made the vague threat. Of course, he needn't have bothered; the ragdoll simply clapped his hands and eagerly agreed to the conditions. Ulysses mentally shrugged, still at attention. Wise move.
His opinion once again waned, however, when the new ragdoll immediately started chattering. It wasn't his voice either; just the simple noise that ensured that any element of surprise was lost. Ulysses immediately fell back into his preparatory stance, alert and ready, picking out only the key points in the newcomer's speech. Name: Zosimos. He noted that, and, of course was silent when Zosimos asked for his name. And when it came to the magnet, he only kept moving, the snow falling from him as they entered the asylum, with it's peeling paint and cracked floors.
One weakness noted, he noted wryly. He never was one to try or even tolerate that kind of thing; he was always in perfect condition. But that didn't mean others would be so strict, and he inteded to take advantage of whatever he could get, now that his tool, his stealth was compromised.

Kuu refrained from calling out to this mysterious figure standing a good ways down the hallway, shrouded in darkness. A bad gut feeling wasn't the only reason, as he was trying to keep quiet enough to possibly hear for any other stray footsteps. There was no telling if there was yet further more strangers about. There was the very likely chance that there was a group in the shadows of the other rooms looking to surround and ambush anyone entering. Keeping his eyes fixed on the shape of the figure up ahead, Kuu hand-signaled to Ulysses to be at the ready. Zosimos did say that he didn't see anyone pass him. And as distracted as the 'Screwball' seemed, Kuu doubted he was that far screwed to lie about anything. There was still the question of what the ragtag patchjob was doing near such a place, drawing in the snow of all things...

...
"That's quite intrusive of him, isn't it?"
A lone figure, just a little under a foot tall, stood at a good distance from the entrance to the building that the group of trespassers just walked into. The snow had built up fairly well by now on the rough cut cat and dark cloak that covered the steel-clad sentient. Shimmering orange eyes glared calmly at the empty darkness within the Asylum door. The bright white wash of the falling snow did well enough to drown out his form from sight. Not even the profound investigator, Number Thirty-Two picked up his presence. Luck wasn't something to believe in, though.
"Who do you think will find me first, Eve? Him, or the masked ones?" the sentient asked out loud, as if to himself with no one else being remotely close enough to hear him. "...I suppose you're right. Both will find me eventually anyway, especially once the truth is discovered."
The sentient turned to the side while giving one last gleaming, sinister eye and grin towards the former criminal psych ward. "Until then, Number Thirty Two," he said at last before turning around completely, and walking off in an arbitrary direction.
