Catalyst was having a similar idea to Kib's and Nikolai's. As odd and irritating as it was, and as furious as it made her, the best option right now was to get away and, perhaps, find another way to attack them again after she regrouped her thoughts. That, and.. damn it all, the new hole in her vacuum canister hurt. Normally a Factory machine would pay it little mind, or maybe not even feel it, the pain. But an advanced machine, unfortunately, also has advanced senses. Pain was among those advanced senses, and the flaring was starting to hurt enough to distract the machine from her goal.
The dental tool clacked off of her jaw and her mouth snapped shut on it, more of an impulse than anything else. The sudden sharp instrument in her teeth was a surprise and an unwanted danger, and she could feel it scraping into the bone even after only biting down on it once. The sound of the vacuum vibrating on the air disappeared suddenly, as the air escaping through her wound actually hurt even more. The machine thrashed her head with a sudden, panicked motion, unable to dislodge the metal tool, and her attention came entirely off of the dolls she had been so intent on ripping to shreds.
After the first swing of her head didn't fix the problem, the machine employed her entire body and began to thrash violently, trying to get the tool out of her teeth. This served to only panic her more, and the second her face was turned in Nikolai's direction she lunged for him.
Catalyst was rather surprised as, instead, there was suddenly an annoying bit of aluminum now stuck on the top of her jaw. Hell's bells, if she could feel embarrassment.. Even without the emotion the only thing she wanted was to get away from these dolls so she could sort out whatever was stuck in her teeth. With an angry series of screechy clicks, the creature turned and barreled away, leaving the two dolls to their own devices - for now.

Nikolai grimaced and sat back on his haunches, breathing somewhat heavily. He pulled the eyepatch from his belt and pulled it on, before putting away his sword. This would probably not be the end of the creatures' dealings with them. He huffed somewhat angrily and stood upright, striding towards the other doll.
His stance was still wary, and his thoughts lingered on the events that had just taken place. He knew that unique machines were not a rarity, but he had never come across a machine that could speak before. This unnerved him to some degree.
"You are not a fighter by trade, are you?" He growled, somewhat angrily, bending down to examine Kib's arm. His thick, Russian voice was strangely quiet compared to the cacophonous roar of the vacuum. His green-tinted optic held an angry gaze as he took the short needle he kept on him at all times out. He looked around briefly, checking their surroundings, and gestured for Kib to hold still. "Can you sew or do I need to fix your wound for you?" He grumbled. "We do not have much time. That machine will be back."

The pull of the vacuum was lessened, and then stopped as the beast tried to dislodge his tool. He honestly hadn't expected it to work, and when the beast turned away to leave after several moments of it seeming to panic, he felt himself relax. It seemed okay for the time being, but he wouldn't feel fully secure again until they were at least out of this general area. For the first time since the initial hit too, he because aware of the now dull pain resonating in his arm where the tear had been made, only made even more noticeable when Nikolai brought it up. He barely reacted when the larger rag-doll approached, appearing to be somewhat angry. Kib cursed himself for potentially making things worse, but knew that the other probably wouldn't have been able to take the machine down in any case.
"No." Kib responded to the question dully, staring into the face of the other with an expression about as expressive as a blank wall. "I am not. I thank you for your assistance, and apologize for getting in the way, and potentially causing you unwarranted trouble." He genuinely meant it, despite his barely audible monotone. He did however have to wonder why a lone ragdoll was attackling large machines without backup. Despite Nikolai, seeming to want him to remain where he was, he drew himself up to his feet, still slightly wobbly from the strain the vacuum had placed on his less then durable body. It was a pity..he had lost his better dental tool. True there was another one back at the art shop, but that one was rusty and more damaged. He couldn't complain however..the weapon had done what he had wanted it to do..and that was self-defense. He shook his head at the next offer, finding himself instinctively winding his hand around the wound to shield it, despite the fact he had no oil to shed. He didn't want the other doll to bother with him, especially since it wasn't critical or anything.
"That is kind of you to offer, but I am fine. I taught myself quite a while ago, as I thought it a useful skill to learn." he too looked around as he repeated Nickolai's thought's..if anything he was afraid the beast would return. "Besides..you are correct..we should not remain here, and I have probably already inconvenienced you enough to ask anything of you."

((Mkay Kite~))
Nikolai rolled his optic. One of these types. He ran into them every so often- Stitchpunks who had no sense of self-preservation, or wouldn't allow themselves to be helped out of worry for causing a problem to the other stitchpunk. Only one thing to do in a situation like this.
"Okay. We are going now." He said stoutly, picking up Kib and slinging him over his shoulder. "Where is your home?" He asked, walking east without waiting for a response. "I will take you there. You are not making it across open Emptiness with a wound on your own."
Even though he didn't figure Kib would accept it, Nikolai was playing the 'I'm-helping-you-and-there's-nothing-you-can-do-about-it' card. He was going to help Kib back to his home whether the smaller ragdoll liked it or not- Especially since that large machine would probably return for revenge at some point. And that would be a problem, indeed.
