Dagen listened, taking only half of that in. He found, just as suddenly as he had cared that he suddenly didn’t care anymore if she was lying or not, and figured if she was lying he could easily take her down of she tried anything funny. He could always inform the others too about her in any case...just a sort of “just in case sort of thing.” He continued to dig a little hole in the snow and dirt with his toe, occasionally glancing up at her as she tried to explain herself. He was growing bored with his calmer than normal act…just standing there...talking. it didn’t suit him. He found his mind wandering...and he vaguely wondered if he had ADD too on top of his other issues. That might explain a lot actually.
By now there had probably been a fair bit of silence, as he hadn’t exactly responded to her even though she had finished speaking a short while back. It wasn’t that he hadn’t at all realized she had finished, he just didn’t care about the niceties of conversation most of the time. A further silence hung in the air as he stared, on purpose this time to continue with the potential awkwardness before deciding to break the quiet,
“Sounds bloody boring. But then again, I’m just an idiot that likes a spot of danger” He finally drawled, pulling himself out of his reverie and pursing his lips as he stated somewhere in the vicinity of her lower legs. “I still think it’s stupid to hoof it on your own, but whatever. It’s your own choice, neh?” He casually kicked into the dirt extra hard this time, and “accidentally-on-purpose” sprayed a good deal of the mucky snow concoction right in Florin’s direction. Weather she evaded it or not he didn’t care; all he wanted was to evoke some other sort of reaction, if any.

At first she waited for a response from him, and after moment opened her mouth to speak again. Before she could say anything, he finally spoke, and then kicked the dirt at her. She didn't manage to avoid it, and the dirt and snow splattered across her legs. She yelped, jumping a little ways back from him, furiously wiping at her legs to remove the dirt as though it were poisonous. Her calm demeanor seemed to quickly vanish. Insults she could take, but this? Her patience was all but gone. "What on Earth?! What do you think you're doing?!"

Whoops."he deadpanned, watching her in a manner of utter unconcern for her current plight as she slapped at her legs trying to rid herself of the dirt. The reaction she gave him was most amusing, far better than anything before. He really felt no sympathy for this...why should he? He had caused it, and in any case what was the big issue with a spot of dirt? It had been a casual sort of test; she hadn't been responding to his words, which wouldn't have bothered him if she hadn't insisted on remaining all posh about it. That was almost as bad as being a spoilsport in his books, though less irritating. Perhaps he was being a bit of a bratty bitch about it by throwing dirt at her for not gaining the sort of responses he desired, but he'd never admit that, not even to himself.
It was odd, and he never knew why he couldn’t be satisfied with having a nice normal conversation with someone without mucking it up somehow. In any case he had wanted to see if she acted differently to this, as he had suspected her, like himself to be proud of her appearance. The fact that this harmless little action bothered her the MOST however was curious and just a little bit silly, especially considering the conditions that they all lived in. As he had said to her before, one could only wander around so long before getting dirty, and he figured that he had merely given her a little bit of perpetration for what was to come.
"I guess you can look the part of a loner better now though!” he said cheerily, seeming to get happier as she grew more annoyed. “Every stain and tear has a story you know…and if any of that there sticks and someone asks about it…you get to tell them about you’re brilliant meeting with me.” He struck a quick, pompous looking pose, and then relaxed back into his casual stance, now minus the uprooting of dirt. He didn’t want to get too much jammed into the metal notches in his feet because that was a pain to dig out and hindered his ability to walk properly if it got too bad.

Finally, the inevitable. Her eyes narrowed at him as she huffed in frustration. The nerve of this little brat, she thought. She does nothing but try to be nice, and he does this. She raised up her hand, delivering a quick, harsh slap across his face. The fur around her neck, put there to give her an appearance of elegance, now seemed to stand up slightly, giving her more of the appearance of an angry cat then a lady. "You disgusting little wretch! Never have I seen someone so absolutely appalling! I was told you Rogues were unpleasant, but YOU are the most atrocious, inconsiderate little jackwrench I've ever met!"She snapped at him. She'd come with the intentions of gaining the favor of anyone she met, and that seemed to be all but impossible now, but right now she couldn't care less. Not a trace of her previous calm, proper manner could be found.

Normally Dagen would have been able to evade such a thing as being slapped, but here he didn't even bother. He stood his ground as the enraged Florin dealt him a rather decent hit. His face momentarily exploded into soreness as her palm made contact, and though for a moment a flicker of discomfort flashed across his features, he managed to shove that away and continue to observe her with his ever present smirk. Reaching up he gently ran his claws against the spot she'd slapped, metal making a scratching noise against the cloth as he listened to the ramble of insults. If it had been a different person perhaps he would have been hurt or insulted, but he barely knew Florin and had already since halfway into their meeting thought she had a posh attitude that matched her looks. This barrage of fairly clean, proper sounding insults only furthered this "ladylike" appearance.
Plus it didn't help that half of what she said he agreed with himself. He knew there was something not normal with the way he responded to things, much like the way he dealt with people, and this instance was no different.
"I know!" he exclaimed in utter glee, thrusting his hands into the air and completing a full pivot on his heel, as though her barrage of insults had been compliments instead. "Isn't it just brilliant?" Snickering he shook his head and casually pointed in her direction. "Though you did contradict yourself there...you called me disgusting...but a few seconds ago you were complimenting me in a way that was far from you thinking me disgusting." Dagen knew well she could have been referring to his personality as disgusting but this way was more fun. He wanted to ruffle her feathers (amusingly enough it almost looked like that was literally happening thanks to the fluff), which seemed to be working. He wondered vaguely if he was just that nasty to be around, why she hadn't already stormed off long ago.

"That was BEFORE you kicked dirt at me, you deadbolt!" She turned away from him, though not quite in the opposite direction to walk away from him. For whatever reason, she still seemed hesitant to leave. She folded her arms against her chest again, making them all but disappear beneath the fur. "I was a fool to think these idiots could be reasoned with. This was a complete waste of time! I could've been back home in the tower were it's safe and not filled with morons, but no, I just HAD to crawl out here in the damn snow and wind, alone, get myself dirty, and waste my precious time on some runt with the sense of a brick! Damn it!" Florin groaned in frustration and laid a hand against her optics. She was on longer talking to Dagen, but rather ranting out loud to herself, though unknowingly let the word 'tower' slip.

He perked up at that, straightening and peering at her with renewed interest that stretched beyond mere taunts. It wasn't that much of a surprise, but now that he had exact proof right from her very lips, there was no doubt and no harm confronting her about it. After all, even though she could have been innocently wandering on a walk, her words almost suggested otherwise now. Even though she was obviously no longer addressing him, he heard it all and responded as though she didn't have her back turned.
"Ha! I KNEW it!" In a swish of movement and a few long strides he was right up behind her, grinning like the Cheshire cat. "Racketeer? VERY nice!" Brushing past and around her, so he was once more facing her full on, and positioned his hands on his hips and spoke in soft, sarcastic tones, full of false concern. "Aww, you look SO stressed. Sounds like you didn't enjoy your peaceful walk very much. It really is fucking annoying when something you chose to do for fun and pleasure is a waste of time. Or when an -"
He paused in his talking, and looked around, then up at her with a strange expression, and suddenly without any explanation shuffled backwards almost a full foot. He then resumed, as though nothing at all had happened. "...Or when an innocent walk involves reasoning with someone." Despite the image he often put out there to strangers, he was far from stupid or idiotic. If he had thought Florin was a threat he would have responded in a far different manner to her. However he didn't trust the Racketeers as a group, and though he wasn't paranoid, he was once again suspicious. When he spoke again his tone had lost a good deal of it's previous playfulness "What do...or did you want here?"

Her pupils shrank in surprise, not realizing what she'd said out loud until it was far too late. She cursed to herself and smacked the palm of her hand against her head a few times. "Dammit, dammit, applesauce, dammit... " She hissed to herself. After a moment, she let out a frustrated sigh, and looked back up at him, forcing herself to relax once again. Her face was completely straight and serious, though she still held the same posh, dominating air. "Alright, fine. I know when I'm caught. Yes, I'm part of the Racketeers. I'm just doing my job, dear. I suppose I did get a bit too cocky, wondering out here alone. Learned my lesson there, I did.."

“Hey, no blaming the applesauce! It’s innocent here you know.” He kept his tone calm and causal though was still watching her with suspicion. “Your hand however seems to be hitting you. You really should tell it to stop.” Perhaps he couldn’t have blamed her for lying if she was here on secret business, but that meant that it needed to be addressed. Normally he abhorred needing to confront anyone about anything more important than the trivial, but…whatever…he was here and might as well. Plus she still held some level of entertainment.
“Mind telling me what this business is? I PROMISE to leave you alone if it’s nothing too naughty.” His voice was still light but his expression remained uncharacteristically serious. His stance too was fixed in one place, arms folded against his chest as he too attempted to appear at least a little authoritative (which was hard when the female in question was almost a head taller than himself) He would tell on her if she refused to talk or told him anything worrisome. Actually he would probably tell on her anyway. Dagen was never too concerned with ratting people out that he didn’t care about for even the smallest thing. Though he actually meant it too, if she wanted him to leave (which he wouldn’t be surprised if she did) then he would. After a little while of course. He never specified exactly when this leaving alone would occur. It could be immediately or in ten minutes. Whatever suited, him best or amused him most in the end.

Florin sighed once again and rolled her optics. "Alright, fine, if you absolutely must know..." She raised her hands to the pearls on the chest that served as buttons, carefully undoing two of the three, opening her torso just enough to reach her hand inside and pull something out. Whatever it was, it was tightly wrapped in a thick sheet of leather, which she pulled back, revealing what it was, and the reason why. She held a disc-shaped magnet, about the size of a penny, which was more like the size of a plate to a stitchpunk. The piece of leather was to cover it's magnetic field, preventing it from effecting her while she held it.
That technically wasn't a lie. It was her secondary motive, true, but better he know of her drug distributing job than her primary intentions of robbing his faction.

Waiting as she undid her seams, Dagen had to fight back the urge to make an inappropriate joke at her expense. After all she was finally (or hopefully) about to cooperate with him and knew that would probably only spoil it. Leaning in to peer at what she was showing him, a look of genuine surprise crosses his features. If anything he hadn't expected Florin to be one of those...usually from what he knew of drug dealers they were generally more harsh and violent...and usually male. Perhaps this then was a good cover. His expression shifted to one of mild distaste the longer he looked at the magnet. He himself despised both magnets and oil and thus pretty much showed no interest or enthusiasm about the product she displayed.
"A little drug dealer are we? Not seedy at all.” He smirked now, “Though really, I kinda expected you to be something...something else..." he paused, knowing she'd probably punch him in the face or something if he voiced exactly what he had thought she might have been. It was probably the fluffy boa that had given him the thought. "..but nah...now I think of it, that doesn't suit you at all." he eyed her with a grin, knowing full well she probably knew what he was talking about given the occupation of the majority of females in the Racketeers.

Something told her she should be slapping him again, but she found herself snickering a bit at his comment as she folded the leather back over the magnet and slipped it back into her torso. "You thought I was a common whore? I suppose I'm not too surprised. One probably would think that, seeing a woman from the Racketeers. But no. I appreciate myself far too much to fall to such a level as to sell myself." She said, smirking as she closed the pearls on her chest back.

Florin’s reaction was a little surprising; he had been expecting more angry retaliation, but instead had received a laugh. Not bad. If she continued like that he might consider lightening up a little bit. In his opinion he was still being damn nice considering she had admitted to lying and was now skulking about trying to sell drugs. It was odd in itself, nowhere thought about it that something as formerly harmless as a magnet was now considered a form of drug. He had a very vague fuzzy memory of a large black box covered in the things, magnets of all shapes and sizes. Oh, certain ragdolls would have a field day of they could get a hold of that. Where had that even been….? His thoughts divulged, and for a second it probably looked like he was staring off into space before he snapped readily back to attention. Dammit there he went again. Totally irrelevant to the current conversation, and he made haste to correct this, and responded to her in turn,
“Like I said, doesn’t really suit you…though you probably could be good at it if you ever felt the urge. After all..,” he shrugged, still grinning impishly, and nodded causally in her direction. “I swear that at a few points during our little chat here you were trying to seduce me…or at least appeal to my fancy with all those subtle little poses and girly compliments.” Even though he hadn’t realized it during the exact times she had been talking, thanks to their current topic he suddenly realized (or at least thought he did) that this was what she had been doing. Perhaps to get him to help her with what she had wanted. He wasn’t absolutely sure that that was what she had been doing at the time, but it certainly had looked like it. He wouldn’t put it past her in any case from what little he knew of her.
“You know if you wanted to sell those nasty things, you could have just asked up front.” Not that he would have helped her of course.
(Oh my freaking gods I am so sorry this took so long <//3 Three midterms and two essays piled into the last two weeks ate my brain)

"Really now? I'm not sure whether to take that as an insult or compliment." She said, smirking a bit. She placed a hand on her hip, swinging it to the side slightly, again showing off her curves, though not to the extent she had earlier. "And here I thought you hadn't noticed that. I wasn't lying when I said I admired your features, my dear." her voice dropped to a softer, some would even say seductive, tone. "I can't help but wonder though... were you interested?"
Not that she really was interested in him, romantically or whatnot, but experience had taught her many things, and one of the most important rules she'd learned: it was always good to be in someone's favor. Especially if that someone may be useful later on.

“Anything can be a compliment if you can twist it that way.” He grinned, and started very slowly pacing back and forth, finding his need for continuous movement re-kindled. It was odd how quickly the mood of their interactions seemed to whiplash back and forth. Irritable, to false flattery, to anger and suspicion, then now, to what could almost be seen as a normal conversation. It was an odd feeling though he knew it could very well change at any moment in time. All it ever took was a few well-placed words.
“Interested? You mean the drugs or you?” he performed a sort of half-pirouette on the spot rather than change course in his pacing normally, and regarded her. “Drugs, no fucking was in hell. I like my lovely mind the way it is. I’ve already lost my body, don’t want to lose then mind too.” His tone was airy once more, and could have either been one of indifference or friendly casualness."If you mean YOU, well.. hm, well we all look so bloody similar now that it’s really only the extra accessories and colors that we add to ourselves that make us different.” He squinted at her, as though giving her a once over. He still had a hard time finding the ragdoll form attractive in the sense that he might have considered another human, but he could appreciate handiwork. Perhaps that would still take some time, or just the right person for that sort of attraction to kick in.
“I suppose you aren’t bad to look, but I wouldn’t ‘tap it’ if that’s what you mean.” He offered her a somewhat sly smile following these words. He didn’t know why he restrained himself there; it had been a golden opportunity for rude snark, and yet he had been more or less polite (for him at least). He supposed he didn’t mind her as much now that she had dropped the silly act, and was more inclined to subtle down his own attitude in turn.
