This was no place for a lone anima to be, especially one who worked so closely with the Racketeers. No one seemed to have told Zosimos that, however. Or they did, and he just didn't care. Most likely the latter. But that didn't matter to him. He was far too distracted following along the lines inbetween the tiles on the floor of the pet shop. He didn't even seem to know where he was or where he was going, simply going where ever the lines led him. He followed along them, his feet forward as he walked along the line as if it were a tightrope, occasionally losing his balance and stopping to regain it, never wanting to touch outside of the line. The trinkets on the gold chain that functioned as his belt clanked together as he walked. On his person was his usual golden ring, which served little purpose other then being pretty (which is the main reason he kept it with him), a large cross-stitching needle he favored as a weapon, and a small magnet, which had a hole carved in it so it could be placed on the chain. He would've kept them hidden in his chest like others if he could, but the lock that held his chest in place wouldn't allow it, and the key had been taken away from him ages ago by Florin.
He grimaced a bit at the thought of his sister figure, though his optics never strayed away from the imaginary tightrope. He knew she meant the best, that's why she told him never to go very far, and not to talk to strange dolls unless they asked for magnets, and to rip out the optics of any Savior he saw that got within viewing distance of the clocktower.... where was he going with this again?
Zossy shook his head, trying to clear his mind of the thoughts. Florin could handle herself right now, surely. He wanted some time to himself. Pushing all thoughts of his "sister" and her jobs for him out of his mind, his attention went back to the lines, and he began to sing softly to himself. "The merry-go-round broke down, as we went 'round and 'round, each time it would miss, we'd steal a kiss, then the merry-go-round went down..."

The sunlight drifting down to the ground was the bittersweet type; it made one side of your face warm which the other chilled indignantly at the lack of heat. The light rustlings ambient sound of another day gave way to the very slight clinking of metal down an alley way. The coins Casio had found earlier were making a cheerful clink with every other step he took and he found it quite irritating. In the profound hush of the day the sounds sounded more like gunfire to him than anything else. He leaned forward slightly, shifting the familiar weight of the crucifix on his back. The combined weight of the bow and the coins was making him slightly off balance, making him having to shift either the bad or the cross every few minutes. This was also very irritating to him. He had thought about ditching the coins many times, but the ones he found were just so nice, the thought of parting with them, and the even more disturbing thought of some other raggie getting their filthy hands on them, made him reluctant to relinquish them.
His forever half closed eyes slid over to an opening in a wall not too far away. He supposed he could hide them and come back for them later but he had already hid so many things he was beginning to feel a bit like a rodent hording food.
Food.
Casio smiled to himself. One of his more amusing past times was to think about the foods he had loved when he was still flesh, and he would often try to figure out how he could still remember the taste if he now had no tongue. He currently had no answer for it.
He was still pondering as he made his way into the opening in the wall, and he kept pondering until his foot hit something on the floor with another annoying clink which made him look down. It was a dog tag, probably belonged to some mutt at some time or another.
He gave his surroundings a once not really thinking, this mind still amusing itself on the double entendre it made from dog tag when he realized he was standing in some sort of kennel.
Or Pet store he mused.
He gave the dog tag a slight kick, moving it out of his way as he continued to meander into the pet store, his eyes scanning the room’s upper walls, searching for a new hiding spot. "The merry-go-round broke down, as we went 'round and 'round, each time it would miss, we'd steal a kiss, and then the merry-go-round went down..."
Casio had to stop walking before he could realize what he was hearing. Some stupid git was singing to him. Probably trying to make himself skull beast kibble he thought vaguely as he looked around for the source.

Zosimos continued his song and game without a care, occasionally mumbling some random gibberish when he forgot the words to the song. Despite appearance, he was still very much alert of his surroundings. Experience and practice had embedded that in him. The sound of the dog tag clinking immediately pulled him from his fun. In an instant he was turned to face the opposite direction, posed in a fighting stance with the large needle from his chain drawn like a cutlass. He wasn't quite sure why he kept the needle. It wasn't a powerful tool. In fact, it did little harm to other stitchpunks unless aimed just right. It could prove useful against a machine on occasion, but for an anima, it did little more then make holes in their fabric. Actually, that might be exactly why he kept it.
He wanted to call out, in case it was another doll, but decided against it. It could be a machine. And, if so, it may not have seen him yet. Though his somewhat obnoxious singing and skipping probably already ruined any chance of that.

The singing had abruptly stopped and so had Casio. He had finally gotten a glimpse at the doll that had been making so much noise. He didn’t look like much to him. But he had seen a lot of raggie’s with some rather nasty tricks up their sleeves, literally.
“Put that away, you might hurt yourself” Casio said out loud, his bored and disinterested voice echoing slightly around the room as he sauntered toward the doll. The doll was three inches shorter than he was. It was almost funny, Casio had been normal height as flesh but now he was quite tall.
He walked forward until he was only a foot away from the doll, but made no motion to draw his crossbow. It was too big and bulky anyways and besides he always had the sack of coins in hand he could beat the raggie with. He sized up the raggie with bored half closed eyes. H realized that the doll had some chain around his waist and that chain had a Magnet
Casio casually averted his eyes from the magnet. He had discovered magnets quite a while back, the feeling it had given had reminded him of when he used to smoke madak. That addictive blend of tobacco and opium had been a favorite of Casio’s old platoon and he had found that the craving for it did not stop when he switched from flesh to raggie but the magnets had been a suitable substitute.

Zosimos looked over the new stitchpunk for a moment. Normally he would have no problem running at him, challenging him to a spar before introducing himself, but this anima seemed to be a bad choice for that. Not due to that fact he was quite a bit bigger then Zosimos, but because he seemed terribly weighed down by that stuff he was carrying, Zossy thought. It wouldn't be very nice of him to do something like that when his opponent was occupied. Reluctantly, Zosimos slid the needle back into one of the links of the chain to hold it. Once his weapon was put away, he looked the stitchpunk over once more, his optics blinking curiously before his gaze finally stopped on the other's face, and a smile spread across his own. "Hi!"

Casio had to resist the temptation of rolling his eyes at the smaller doll. He was getting the definitely impression that he wouldn’t be having any deep philosophical talks out of this one, but he might be jumping the gun with thins one. Regardless, he wouldn’t let his guard down either way.
“. . .Hello.” Casio finally said after shifting his crossbow slightly again. He really wasn’t terribly interested in talking to another raggie at the moment, but a partner might be handy once the beasties come knocking around the corner. Casio was sure he could easily knock him out, a perfect appetizer. The bag of coins felt heavier than usual, mostly because he really wanted to see how hard he could knock the other raggie with the bag of coins. It was rather tempting, but also very unnecessary.

Apparently the burgundy doll couldn't tell that the other wished to be left alone. He began to happily trot closer to the other, a friendly smile plastered across his face. "What're you doing in here? I haven't seen you before. Are you a Rogue? Or a Mark? Or a Savior? I hope you're not a Savior, because I'm suppose to hurt you if you are, and I really don't want to right now. I know you're not a Racketeer, I'd know you if you were. But I might know you... have we met before? I might have forgotten. I do that a lot. Want a magnet?"

His brows arching, Casio stared at the doll with mild surprise. He was rather chatty. Wasn’t he? He wondered mildly at what the other raggies was talking about, something about saviors. He had heard that name before; muttered by raggies he had stalked without rhyme or reason. The names were of those groups of rags who wandered the dustlands whispering about the things they believed in most. Whether it was truth or greed, Casio did not care. He had been at the mercy of such men when he was flesh, of the so called good and the ones consumed by avarice. In the end they were all useless.
He was getting quite bored until he heard the word “magnet”. He gave a slight smile. “Do you always offer people you just met magnets?” he said in a slightly bemused voice.
Maybe if he traded with this fool he could lose some weight, the magnet could practically carry itself after all and these coins weren’t about to get any lighter.

"I'm supposed to, yeah. " He said, his gaze turned downward as he traced his foot along a crack he found in the floor. "Except sometimes I'm supposed to hurt people instead, but I really don't like to do that. But when I get back I just say I did anyway so I won't get slapped. But then sometimes she says she wants proof, so I have to go find a few spare body parts to bring back, and that always sucks. But at least I get a few magnets afterward. Hey! You want a magnet? I got one here you can have." He pulled the chain that hung from his waist around to find the clip that held it together. Once he found it, he pressed down on it, undoing it so the magnet, or any of his other items, could be removed, while still holding the ends, so they wouldn't fall off.

Looking down at the magnet, he felt the familiar desire rise within him, just looking at the magnet was making him sweat, metaphorically of course. His hand twitched for a moment.
Don’t be stupid. His mind said, you take that and you’re vulnerable to this guy. We don’t even know the hell is wrong with him anyways. He’s a bit of a freak. He thought Exactly. This might be some sort of trap, get your head on straight Youngquist!
Casio reluctantly stared at the other doll, it was funny. . That voice of reason always sounded like his old captain . . . “How about a trade?” he said drawing his bag open and reaching inside .He pulled out a coin of a golden color. On one side it bore in inscription “East Indian Company, one Mohur”. The coin depicted a snarling lion with a palm tree in the background. Gleaming ,it threw light all around when Casio hefted in in his hand, showcasing it for the other raggie.

The doll seemed stunned. "Trade? Wow, no one's ever offered a trade before. Most either hit me and tell me no and go on about how bad magnets are, or snatch it from me and run. You're really..."
He trailed off as his gaze turned to the coin. His pupils shrunk and his eye visibly twitched slightly. He wasn't too sure what kind of coin it was Casio held, but he did know one thing; it's was really shiny. And anything shiny was usually good, especially gold shiny things. This one was not only shiny and gold, it was pretty too, with the words and images that had been minted into it. To Zossy, the magnet seemed like nothing in comparison, but perhaps he was just used to having as many magnets as he wanted.
"... yeah, sure, we can do that."

This could not have gone better even if he planned it. The raggie was one of those “oh look shiny” types. Casio almost breathed a sigh of relief. So the raggie before him was just an idiot. He was confident that he would handle whatever the doll threw at him, if he dared to try. Casio wondered how far he could take this. So he smiled widely and shook the bag a little, making the other coins rattle around.
“Well, yes it’s the only fair thing right? And I do have ALOT of coins; I just find them all over the place. You could say I’m a magnet for them “ As he spoke Casio smiled coyly. “Sometimes I don’t have enough room for them, so I usually just get rid of them . . .”
Casio trailed off, with disheartened interest. He wondered how the other raggie would act to this news, it wasn’t the most veiled bait he had ever set out, but he had gotten rusty without practice. “ so? Do we have a deal? “

Again, the burgundy doll visibly twitched, the pupils of his optics the size of pin heads. It was clear to see he was trying to restrain himself, and having a difficult time. Something in the back of his mind told him this doll had seen his weakness, and now was using it to toy with him. He hated that about himself, how those sparkly things could so easily bring him to his knees, but they were just so... nice.
"Uh... yeah, yeah, sure, that's great..." He happily handed over the magnet. "You find lots of those? And you just... throw them away? But they're so... so pretty." his gaze turned back to the coin. "I never find ones that pretty. Or that color. I always get the silver and brown ones, never the gold. I do have lots of magnets though. Hey! You want some more magnets? I got a ton of them. Lots of different kinds, too."

After handing the coin to the other doll and taking the magnet, Casio was dearly tempted to just smack the thing right up against his head. It had been a while since he had a good magnet. But there were other things to be done.
The other raggie seemed to be encased in the fact Casio supposedly just threw the coins aside, which in actuality, was a complete lie. Casio would never throw them away. He had noticed a lot of other dolls’ really like shiny useless things. He had assumed that this desire had been only human, and birdlike but apparently old habits die hard.
Speaking of old habits, the dolt was now offering more magnets. That would be nice He thought but very unnecessary.
Hmm he said aloud, in his usual bored way well I don’t know, I already have this one. . . .
Here fishy, fishy. Take the bait.

Despite appearances, he seemed to show a bit of intelligence as he carefully took the coin. He ran his hand over the minted sides, observing the pictures, words, even reading the year it was minted.
"Oh, that's just a basic one." He said as he examined the coin, his eyes glued to it. "I'm suppose to have at least on of those with me to give out. OH, that reminds me." He momentarily looked away from the coin to look back up at Casio. "I'm suppose to tell you.... clocktower.... something... blahblah, whatever I don't care right now." He trailed off as he looked back down at the coin, resuming his examination of it. "But you should try some of the others. I really like the black ones, but the silver ones shaped like cubes are the best."
