A metal-on-metal sound echoed through the train station, followed by a swift, muted curse.
A dark-fabriced doll pushed her back up against a wooden bar, an attempt at hiding herself in case her blunder alerted something undesirable. After a few moments, when she heard no answering clatter, the doll relaxed. She didn't know why she even bothered - she'd made enough noise in here to attract the entire Factory, and nothing had made itself known.
The doll allowed herself to slide to the ground and rest for a few moments, idly reaching over to pull her walking stick closer. Her one working leg was tired. She was nothing extraordinary to look at - dark gray burlap, an almost-black hood and shawl, only one leg and a sour-looking face.
She'd come to this place looking for a new weapon - or her old one.. that one she'd lost when William had cornered and nearly killed her. This was the place she'd lost it... right?
The doll ran a hand over her face and optics, causing a small tink sound. Was this the place? It wasn't that long ago.. how could she not remember it?

The sound caught something's attention, all right, though it was nothing so dangerous as a machine. A single light green optic focused on the dark ragdoll from it's perch high above her, in the rafters of the station. The figure was sitting on it's heels, elbows rested on it's knees.
In one hand, a dangerous-looking combat knife, and clutched in the other was a dismantled machine optic, from which oil still dripped. Rested on the rafter next to the hunter was a large sword, and the figure slowly slid it's knife back into it's belt and took it's sword. It began running down the rafter, silent as a whisper, until it had reached the darkest part of the shadows.
It threw the machine optic down to the tracks, eliciting a loud clang. It had been enjoying it's moment of silence; Now this being had come along and ruined it all.
"What are you doing here?" Came the low, melancholy, thickly accented rumble.

A couple of things happened at once. The metallic clunk of metal striking wood and dirt and metal as the optic was dropped made the dark doll jump dramatically.
The voice that followed immediately caused her to spin around, optics landing on its owner.. or, well, where its owner should have been. There were shadows there, and enough of a white shape that she could make out a doll; a rather.. bigger doll. The voice was decidedly male, and that threw up a double warning flag. She thought of William, and how he'd seemed so eager just for a conversation that he'd been willing to kill her for it. She backed up unconsciously against the rubbish behind her, though the newcomer wasn't close enough to trap her there.. she just liked having something against her back. When she replied it wasn't with a frightened tone, though - while that would have been default in this situation, Angelika's personality and her antisocial nature gave her cause to be angry and indignant about interrupted - even about being scared. Thus, her voice came out demanding and angry.
"My business. What are you doing here?"

"Hunting." Returned the larger doll in a brutal snarl. He put a hand on the hilt of the massive broadsword and leapt from the rafter to a disconnected wire and swung down like an eagle descending on prey to land with a solid whump on the wooden platform.
The pale doll stood fully upright, casting a baleful glance from his single whole optic at Angelika. An eyepatch bearing a red radioactive symbol covered most of the left side of his face, and his fabric was lined and patched with scars.
He held his head proudly, leaping from the edge of the platform to the tracks, taking the landing at a crouch to avoid injury. He stayed crouched and wary, one hand kept on the hilt of his sword. His gaze flicked once more up and down her figure, piercing gaze searching for the telltale bulge of a hidden weapon or a sign of a disguised machine. Seemingly deciding she had neither, he straightened up, though he approached her not.

She stared at him reproachfully, watching as he made his way down to the tracks. Her optics found his sword almost immediately, and suddenly the doll wished she'd had a weapon on her. Damn bad luck. Once more the confrontation with William popped into her head, and the other doll's word did not make the situation look any better.
Angelika let her optics flicker quickly over to the optic the doll had dropped, unable to tell entirely if it was a doll's or not.. even if it was, who's to say this guy didn't attack both?
"…hunting for what, exactly? You know, your tough-guy act isn't making anyone feel any better. Sort of the opposite actually. You should give me some sort of clue a to whether I need to start running or not." Her voice was sarcastic, because that was her nature, but she quickly got her walking stick under one arm, as if it would help her hobble away from a fully able, huge doll.

The large doll gave a humorless snort as he walked over to the machine eye. He lifted it and tossed it to her as an answer to his question. "Do you not think you would already be dead if I were out here hunting for Stitchpunks?" He rumbled, crossing his arms.
His face looked as though it were used to frowning, and his half-lidded optic gave an impression of tired aloofness. "And it is not as though you could outrun me, anyways." He commented, glaring pointedly at her crutch. A bit blunt with his words, this one seemed.
"You still have not answered my question," He noted somewhat dispassionately, "What you are doing here. This is not exactly an ideal place for our kind."

Only at this point did the gray doll allow herself to relax, even if it was only a small margin of it. It was her nature to not trust others until they'd proven they could be trusted. And this fellow could still easily be lying. She didn't like how he'd blatantly pointed out her disadvantage, and that decided for her that she didn't really like him at all.
"It's not like you own this sparking place," Angelika grumbled in initial response to his insistency. She looked away with a scowl, pretending to scan the area for something specific, though in truth she'd already scoured it clean: there was nothing here, or at least nothing she could really use. Maybe it was near time to get this damn leg fixed, as looking for a good weapon was pretty much pointless when she never had a free couple of hands to use it.
"I'm looking for something I lost, that's all. Except it's not really any of your business."

Nikolai harrumphed, uncrossing his arms and walking back a few paces. He pulled at a piece of rubble and it slowly dragged away to reveal a small hollow in the ground, full of dismantled pieces. He gathered up the eye and tossed it into the hollow, before returning the rubble to it's original position.
With another glance at her, Nikolai decided that she had lost something important; She would not return to such a place unless it really was vital to her being. For a moment he considered the item being her very leg, but he disregarded this notion out of hand. It seemed unlikely that someone would return to the site of a traumatic event in search of the trauma.
"Ok then, fine." He held his hands up in mock defeat. "I hope you get out of here, before the other one finds you." He tossed out this little important tidbit casually and turned to stride away. Part of him really didn't care whether or not she followed him, the part of him that detested others. Part of him hoped she would take the bait and follow him out of the train station so she really didn't get killed, the part of him that remembered that he fought the mechanical monsters for others of his species' survival.

Other one? She'd been here making loud noises for hours and hadn't been unlucky enough to wake or attract a machine. She watched the male doll begin to stride away and she scowled with irritation. Angelika was not the type to run away from a threat she couldn't see; she was too stubborn. But at the same time, she was not the type to ask for help. It was certain, she was in a tight spot for deciding what to do next.
The doll cast a look around herself. She HAD been here a while.. scoured the place, and no sign of what she'd come for. Maybe she'd been mistaken and this wasn't the place she'd lost her weapon.
Sourly (in both expression and attitude), she turned to begin silently following Nikolai.. but not so close that it was painfully obvious. She did have her pride. She just.. happened to be going in the same direction as him.

Nikolai heard the faint sounds of Angelika behind him and gave a small smirk. He'd been bluffing about the second machine- He'd killed it already. It didn't mean that there weren't more around somewhere, but she didn't need to know that quite now. He still enjoyed sitting in the rafters and thinking. His plan now was to lead Angelika safely out of the station, and far away, and then return and take his place back on his favorite beam of wood to watch the station once more.
He had tallied four this week- Two earlier that day, one the night before, and one the previous day. They were small machines- He rarely tallied highly when hunting larger models- but they were machines nonetheless. Not even the sudden (And somewhat unwanted) appearance of Angelika could ruin his almost-good mood.
He tugged at the eyepatch on his face and made sure his weapons were securely in their sheathes. His joints were bothering him in the weather. It was cold, and it made his head ache around his optic.

Angelika walked in silence, at least to begin with. She stayed a consistent foot and a half behind the strange-speaking doll, sort of glaring at his back the entire time. It was a few minutes before she spoke up, deciding that pretending she wasn't there following him would do her no good.
"Do you know a place that has a red car pushed up against a big box?" She called, just loud enough for him to hear. "I thought it had been a train car, but I couldn't find the spot at the train yard."
She tried to speed her steps up a bit in case he answered as he walked, not wanting to miss out on any clues. If she noticed him having any trouble, she didn't let on.

Nikolai was silent for a few moments as he thought. He had been many places. Running through the list was not a quick task. "...Hm. I think I am knowing what you speak of." He replied. His russian growl of a voice carried loudly across to her. "Why do you need to find it?"
He put his foot on a bolt and stared at the sky, shielding his eye, as if trying to determine the time. He turned to Angelika. The look on his face spoke of mild weariness, but his head was held high. He tugged absentmindedly at the stitches of one of the many scars on his body. "I will help you find it, if you want. It is not... Not terribly far. I know this area well." He turned for a moment to his right, brows furrowing slightly. He seemed to be naturally jumpy. "We must perhaps make a decision now, and then move." He said. "I have a bad feeling, like we are being watched."
He took a step behind Angelika, and while his face was out of sight he pulled his eyepatch down and briefly scanned the area with his left eye- Which he intended to keep secret from Angelika as long as possible- before pulling his eyepatch back up. Nothing. Maybe he was just paranoid. But it didn't hurt to be paranoid when your paranoia's source were giant metal monsters that enjoyed killing people for poops and giggles.

The darkly-colored doll very nearly asked him what business of his it was, but she quickly shut her mouth before that could slip out. Despite how much she wanted to, it would probably be a bad idea to, even accidentally, make an enemy of this large doll. "I lost something important somewhere around it." She didn't mention that it had been during an attack where she'd almost died so she didn't know exactly where it was anymore.
"Important enough to risk the machines, anyway," She replied quietly when he hinted that they might not really be alone; she turned to watch him as he moved to look in the other direction, wondering if she could trust this doll as much as she wanted to. "How exactly do you know we're being watched, huh?"

Nikolai focused his light green optic on her, an almost angry look in his eye. "Because I have been doing this for my entire life." He said, brushing past her without making contact to reaffirm their location with the sun again. "Come. It is this way. And do not fall behind too much." He began moving, keeping a hand on the hilt of his sword. He moved around the very side of a hill of junk to a half-crushed tin can and slid along the side, peeking out around the edge to make sure they were clear. He signaled her to move up quickly by waving his hand towards himself rapidly, optic blinking once or twice.
For a moment he considered exposing his optic regardless of the other's reaction; But no. If they were indeed being watched his eye represented a sizeable ace in the hole. Exposing it like that would lose him an edge in combat, and he didn't need that with a handicapped ragdoll with no weapon tagging along.
Nikolai could not shake the feeling that they were being watched- It didn't bode well, because Nikolai's feelings in instances like these were almost always correct. Her secrecy on the matter concerned him as well, but not nearly as much as the fact that he now couldn't use his eye to search for watchers and would simply have to deal with this feeling and amp up his caution. "What is your name?" Nikolai said at last as he stepped around the can. "I cannot just call you 'Hey you' for the entire duration of our travels."

Angelika grimaced in a sour sneer at Nikolai's anger, never having been one to respond to angry people in the best ways. She kept her mouth shut for now, though, certain that it would be better than tempting him to turn that anger onto her, and followed him closely.
All in all, she figured, she'd probably run into the most useful person she could have. Better to be traveling with a strong, machine-fighting mercenary than a wounded doll like herself.
As she was asked her name, she grinned sarcastically at his back. "You could try." Then amended her reply with, "Call me 51. How about you?"
